At Echjay we have opted to create a heat treatment facility using batch type furnaces rather than continuous furnace. The most critical elements during heat treatment is accuracy of temperature and time. While the accuracy of temperature is maintained by electronic controls, special purpose manipulator is used to load and unload from furnaces minimizing exposure times. The primary reason for opting batch type furnaces was to enhance versatility of heat treatment. We have further opted to use natural gas as the primary fuel for these furnaces keeping in mind cost, cleanliness and temperature accuracy. We have installed special purpose tanks for salt bath, oil quenching and polymer quenching.
